Kickball Update

On Friday, September 29^th, thirteen representatives from OC participated in a kickball tournament benefitting the Northwest Arkansas Children’s Shelter.

Friends of the Poor Walk

St. Stephen Benevolent Conference (SSBC) is a local chapter of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul. SSBC volunteers help individuals and families in Bentonville, Bella Vista, and Centerton by providing financial assistance with rent/utilities, food deliveries, employment resources, credit counseling, dental care, gas cards, etc.

Their annual fundraiser, Friends of the Poor Walk, was held on Saturday, September 30^th. Outdoor Cap was proud to donate $500 to this organization’s purpose.

JUNK Brands Sponsors HOA Competition

JUNK Brands was a presenting sponsor at the Heart of America Competition (HOA) held Friday, September 269^th – Sunday, October 1^st. HOA is an annual CrossFit competition held in Springfield, Missouri.

There IS Such a Thing as a Free Lunch

Our Bentonville distribution center (DC) nearly doubled their outgoing shipments in September compared to last year. To thank the DC crew for all their hard work, the Retail Team cooked them lunch on Thursday, September 28^th.

At the end of September, our Domestic Embroidery Team broke a production record in Outdoor Cap history! To celebrate, the entire company was treated to Whole Hog BBQ on Thursday, October 5^th.

Habitat for Humanity

Nine volunteers from Outdoor Cap donated their time to a Habitat for Humanity build.

Sharing and Caring Sale

On Friday, October 6^th, we held a Bake Sale and Craft Fair benefiting the Benton County Sharing and Caring program, which provides Christmas gifts for children in need.

We raised over $600, and will have a second event in November.

United Way Campaign

We kicked off our annual United Way campaign in which employees pledge to donate a portion of each paycheck. Our goal was $10,000 and we’re proud to announce that with over 70 employee contributions, we beat our goal and raised $11,150!

Employment

With locations in Arkansas, California, and Texas, we currently employ 366 people, but that number is always changing. Check out all of our employment updates for the month including promotions, new hires, and even open positions.

Promotions

We’re always working to help our team members grow in their current positions as well as advance to new roles and take on additional responsibilities. We’re proud to say three employees received promotions in October.

Shawna Elander

Shawna will be taking over the role of Sales and Customer Development for our Promotional Products Division as Buddy Patterson begins his transition towards retirement.

Chris Henson

Chris started his career at Outdoor Cap in 2010 as a Temp Seasonal Warehouse Worker in our Pick Pak Department. He has since performed practically every task in the DC. Chris has now been promoted to Supervisor of Special Projects and Shipping/Receiving.

Craig Mahan

Craig has recently transitioned full-time to the Promotional Products Sales Divison performing the role of Sales and Business Development in the Western Region.
