Outdoor Cap DU74 with OCflxOCflx: Eco-Friendly Hats Built for Everyday Wear

Sustainable headwear used to mean making a tradeoff on quality or style. OCflx changes that. The OCflx collection is built on REPREVE® recycled polyester, a high-performance material made from recycled plastic bottles. The result is a hat that feels great, fits great, and comes with a sustainability story your customers will appreciate.

The flagship style, the FLX672M, features soft stretch mesh panels and Outdoor Cap's ProFlex® adjustable sweatband for a comfortable, micro-adjustable fit. The eco version, the FLX672M-E, takes it further with 40% REPREVE® recycled polyester front panels, 100% REPREVE® recycled stretch mesh back panels, and a 100% recycled RPE visor, all without sacrificing style or function.

OCflx is the kind of product that practically sells itself. It checks the sustainability box, the comfort box, and the style box all at once. If you're looking to add eco-friendly headwear to your lineup, this is where to start.

More Sustainable Options: REPREVE® Headwear

OCflx isn't the only sustainable option in our catalog. Outdoor Cap carries a full range of REPREVE® headwear styles, all made with recycled materials and ready to stock. Whether you're looking for truckers, structured caps, or something in between, there's an eco-conscious option to fit your store's needs.

How Outdoor Cap Is Working to Be a More Responsible Company

Our commitment to sustainability doesn't stop at the product level. In February 2025, Outdoor Cap formed an internal Sustainability Committee dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint. In just over a year, we've made real, measurable progress.

Here's what we've accomplished:

Recycling

We took a hard look at our recycling program, corrected what wasn't working, and added bins throughout our facility to make it easier for our team to participate. We also launched a company-wide campaign called "Feed the Bin," complete with a fun activity and a traveling trophy called Binny, to build a culture of accountability around recycling.

Reuse and Reduce

We phased out single-use water cups and replaced them with reusable tumblers, which are now included in every new hire's orientation package. On the water side, we installed a rainwater monitoring tool in our warehouse and scaled back lawn watering to reduce unnecessary usage by 28%.

Composting

In December 2025, we completed a full transition to compostable utensils, cups, and plateware in our breakrooms. We also soft-launched a partnership with Ozark Compost, making composting buckets available throughout our facility. To date, Outdoor Cap has diverted over 600 lbs of waste from the landfill, and that number keeps growing.

Community

In November 2025, members of our team spent a day at Osage Park pulling invasive species from the park grounds, a small but meaningful step in giving back to our local community.

Coming Soon: Pollinator Garden

We're currently building a pollinator garden on-site, with raised beds made from recycled pallets. The garden is designed to support local pollinators and reduce waste at the same time.

We're proud of the progress our team has made, and we're committed to building on it.

When you stock Outdoor Cap products, you're working with a supplier that holds itself accountable, and that gives your customers one more reason to feel good about the brands they buy.
