Supply Chain

Due to the varying markets of our customers and their different seasonal demands, we have established a robust and diverse supply chain. From our raw material providers to our shipping floor, the year round demand allows us the ability to meet the needs of our customers.

Our Sourcing and Product Development Departments work together with our existing partners to produce innovative and fresh designs. Our in-house designers collaborate with designers in Asia, which gives us the ability to stay on the pulse of current trends. Sourcing staff in Bentonville, Hong Kong and China enables us to react to market changes and to design, develop and deliver efficiently. Our Sourcing Department also works diligently on finding new partners for our supply chain, and all new factories must agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct.

Corporate Responsibility (CR) is integral to our business and our CR Division works with each of our factories to ensure that our Code of Conduct (COC) is followed. Our COC is the basis used to monitor and audit factories and consists of 9 internationally recognized codes that include no use or allowance of forced labor, child labor, harassment, abuse or discrimination and that employers shall provide a safe and healthful working environment, respect freedom of association and collective bargaining rights, pay the legal minimum wage or prevailing industry wage and legally compensate overtime work. We are also a member of the Fair Labor Association.

Our Procurement Team plans production and purchases with suppliers who manufacture in facilities located throughout Bangladesh, China, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. We seek to develop long-term relationships with each of our suppliers, and we have maintained partnerships with some manufacturers for over thirty years.

Quality product is essential and our Supply Chain Division conducts quality checks as product is received. Additionally, the Supply Chain Division utilizes resources in China to quality check at the factory level.

Our Transportation Department is constantly looking for money saving opportunities that will not sacrifice service. We have become more efficient and have found cost savings by working more closely with our freight providers. Safety is also an important issue to us, so we became certified with Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), and we include safety and security in all of our social audits.

With three distribution centers across the United States, accounting for more than 260,000 square feet of warehouse capabilities, our customers can usually receive stock within 3 days. Our distribution center locations can support all common carriers, LTL, and full truck capabilities.

Part of our vision is to be an excellent corporate citizen, and we believe this means having the smallest environmental impact as possible. We have worked throughout our supply chain to use recycled corrugate, resulting in 25,000 trees saved since 2008. We also changed our box sizes, allowing us to optimize our container cube, and we attained a 9% reduction in C02 emissions.

As a global company we believe that it is always important to build long-standing relationships. The investments in these partnerships ensure product availability, stability, and speed in the production and delivery process, high quality products, and affordable prices in an ethical way.
